At Jamestown we offer a steel processing service to the manufacturing and steel fabrication sectors.  Fabrication of portal framed buildings or beam/column work is normally straightforward. However with engineering design and architectural influence coming more to the fore, steelwork is becoming more complex and bespoke. Equipment and processes to deal with this type of work is not common to every steel fabrication workshop. That's why Jamestown have invested in the most up-to-date machinery and offer a range of services including Oxy-fuel profiling, Plasma profiling, Punching and Shearing, Ring-Rolling, Brake Press-Bending and Folding, Drilling etc.

We offer automated beam welding of plate girders and box girders. Manufacture of Cell beams (plate girders with web openings) and solid web plate beams is offered through our ISO 9000/90001 accredited Quality Management System.

Qualified weld procedures are held for all common fillet weld and full strength/penetration welds. Our capability as a sub-contract partner/supplier of structural components has been proven many times. We have produced fabricated plate and box girders for road bridges, rail bridges, pedestrian bridges and wide & long span structural applications. We have an excellent relationship with our valued suppliers and other engineering companies with whom we have worked. 

As BCSA associate members we have proven our capability to fabricators in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.
